Painted Bunting
Author: Unknown
Five to five and a half inches long,
The Painted Bunting's beautiful song,
The rainbow colors all shine so bright,
Like whispering red, and blue as the night,
Green as a cactus, bark, and trees,
Brown as a log and a dusty breeze,
And now I say, and say once again,
Goodnight to you, and the Northern Wren...

About this poem:
This was the first poem I ever wrote and I wrote it to make people feel happy when they read it... It's very warming with its colors and u can acctually almost visualize how beautiful the bird really is...

I particularly am taken by the phrase Like whispering red. Thank you for sharing.
