An End To It

The curse of conscience, the dread
of feeling,
They rip and tear at my very
being,
And pain and hurt I can't
avoid,
I can't escape, nowhere to
hide,
Oh if one fatal thrust could
end it now,
To say goodbye, farewell and
bow,
But it can't be done, for the die
was cast,
No get out clause, no quick solution
we play it out, to the last,
In turmoil now I must proceed,
inflict the wounds, and then
we bleed,
I'll shoot the arrows, straight
and true,
That lets the pain begin, for me
and you,
I'm ready now,, and here I sit,
I'll say the words and,

Put An End To It!
