Highway Redemption

Coyote cries on hot asphalt
I'm so sorry
So sorry I'm at fault
If it means anything
I'll lick the chrome
that kissed your cheek
Be the first to say
I'm sad and weak
so blue so bleak
so lost and meek

Thank you,
I'm glad you enjoyed it !!
I'm glad you can see the deeper meaning between the words
the deeper meaning between the verbs
and how the nouns glue secrets to syllables =)

I felt I merged with the coyote spirit, it is a rare gift when someone's words are able to transport you in that manner..., like yours did, I've been to San Antonio a few times, got lost every time, lol, I also lost my daughter for half an hour at one of the theme parks,[one of the scariest times of my life...] Sea-world, it is in San Antonio, isn't it, or am I blurring my experiences..., lol, thanks friend...

A bird disappeared under my suv in the hov lane yesterday...I keep hoping I didn't hit him :( Your poem brought this memory to the forefront...and suggests a deeper context. Thank you.
