This piece speaks for Itself really.
Carry her over the water, And set her down under the tree, Where the culvers white all days and all night, And the winds from every quarter, Sing agreeably, agreeably, agreeably of love. Put a gold ring on her finger, And press her close to you

I was born in Hemingway and my cousin Johnny went to war but when he cam back he lived in a house that was built for him by his father Never saw him again just heard stories about war and how he got messed up
WAr,
Originally, this poem came from the ancient Greek. The title was something like oikemon parthenos pussypoo. Apparently, Athenian women took offense at the lack of a believable story line. Men had few complaints. Somehow it appeared centuries later, in the waist packs of Visigoth warriors, on their way to Gaul. More recently, a copy turned up in an excavation site near Oslo, along with a collection of stone sex toys. Check out the neat meter, which is not unlike that of the sonnets of A E Neuman. Slick.
Dedicated to all the wonderful Cub-scouts, Bikers, Veterans, and everyone else who hand-carried memorial stones up the mountain today in remembrance of those lost defending this country.
This poem is written for all the big and small head of soldiers, who serve the country, and give us pleaseant sleep by keeping themselves awake all the time of any country....
The Battle of Dien Bien Phu was the climactic confrontation of the First Indochina War between the French Union's French Far East Expeditionary Corps and Viet Minh communist-nationalist revolutionaries.
Another poem perhaps nothing from the Muse and yet I feel the glimmer of thought: As I ride the waves of time There have been many lives Reading the histories of the Crusades I felt myself at the gates of Jerusalem The excitement of victor

The rich patriotic ritual played every evening at the Menin Gate, is a spine chilling reminder of the futility of war, engineered both by Kings and Politicians alike, the cattle slaughter house a more humane place to die than the Fields of Flanders.
I drag my weary feet To the last meeting tis the end of freedom we are all doomed. All venues are closed Now we are defeated Let us drink comrades To the world’s ending, And a new beginning. I weep overcome by sadness For the world’s
To all poets who entered or took part in any way in "Mizzy's Green Challenge" I would like to extend my warm thanks. I must say I was bowled over with the response. You are all such a great bunch of people and such fantastic poets, its simply a
I am still crying for my friend RHR and all those who are now misguided and misunderstood, helpless living in a world that can't be fathomed. Deep down is a curse only God can heal. For the veterans who are now living in oblivion. Not because of lack of support from the government but the drugs they used to numb them against the terrors and brutalities of war render them conditioned with an affliction only miracle can cure. Just can't stop the flow of my respect as this is the core of my purpose...yet humbled by his unequaled dedication and achievement in spite of the odds...I am his student. With special mention to Martin Luther King Jr and Mahatma Gandhi. Thank you all for your reads and comments..
for those on their prime being called on the front lines... the pawns for our freedom
For a very great man, so the world would learn...Unity can be achieved with patience and forgiveness...resilience and strength...sans blood shed....and won....30 something years in prison..only to come out with more potent on his drive for what he believed in...the exaltation of justice and equality among men regardless of the colors of the skin. We are all one and the same...Equal no more no less. Thank you all for your reads..
This is a poem/story about my generations preoccupation with guns... from an early age.
For those involved in wars for the intention of world peace...My respect to all of you whose lives had been pawned for such cause..
I have no idea if this will cut it Yankee but I'm fuelled still by what's happening in my home country. To show respect to the victims I've not posted anything on social media except sharing posts about what's going on...and what people and places are doing, big or small, to help...or at least understands the plight of the victims. I am disheartened that a lot of my own people are rampant in posting "look at me I'm beautiful" or "look at my stuff" kind of photos. I wrote a poem to express my dismay.. from which I extracted the 40 words I have submitted for your challenge.. Thanks for the opportunity...
just for the moment...
Thank you all for your reads. And comments. SR

Reflecting back on my country's origins
Riddles speak of truth.
This is obviously a war song. I'm in the middle of writing a story, and it in the main character is fighting in a war she has no choice but to participate in. I wrote this song as sort of a "background song" to them marching to an ongoing battle. It is a mix of rap/metal. Italics are of a regular, flowing singing (by a woman in my head), while the rest is harsher obviously, (this time in my head, it's a male.) However it pops up in your head is up to you though.
Bang-Bang goes the gun as we hide away from time This book and pen is all I've got left to say is mine There's a fire in this beating heart, and it only beats for you Thousands of candles in this dark, but still can't seem to find you You're
Singapore not a place to be, If you love guns but can't keep, The laws here are Damm strict, With fines and canning for the law you break. Just try spitting or chewing a bubble gum and you'll see. You be at the dock before you can say cheese,
This is a real ife projection for a lot of combat vets
I am a Vietnam combat veteran and have written a publication entitled The Prose of War. This is one of the pieces from that group.
I have visited the Vietnam Memorial in Washington, D.C. many times and realize each time the sacrifices made for naught.
