Meant to be pink, but born blue, who knew?, not me, not even you, and the whole world was green, something you could not let be seen, then the coloures faded as life went on, green turned to grey, blue took a new hue, pink got lost, somewhere in my teens I think, and now I'm older, the colours have changed, somewhat colder, imminent black, if you see it that way,, then that is the end,,, goodnight,,, my friend, no way back. xxxxxxxxxxxx

I'd love to write a story, that everyone could see, the story of life, the story of us and me, somehow, to show how we came to be, where we are now, and what we want to see, corporate foundations are made up of people, like us, but somehow lost, in greed and need, hey,,, stop,,, the machine needs feed!

After the disaster
my heartbreaks,
Simply struck
by a swan gliding
over Mirror Lake.
These are moments
I awake!
Surprising me passed
Time and Space.

About this poem:
The term aesthetic arrest was first used by James Joyce in his book A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man. The philosopher, historian and theologian Joseph Campbell, also a Joyce scholar, explained aesthetic arrest as,"A simple beholding of the object... you experience a radiance. You are held in aesthetic arrest. This radiance, the perception of beauty, is regarded as a communication of the hidden power behind the world, shining through some physical form."

Hear the greatest cretin in existence
who has taught himself
Want not Have
Purpose not Gratitude
who has longed for
Other not Here
Then not Now
who has betrayed principles
concocted artifices
instigated machinations
contrived ambushes
and
ah and…
unfortunately for him
he can forever depend
upon his vast reservoir
of ‘explanations’
to absolve him.

Whats the meaning of a poem? Something noone can understand? A crypic message lost in meaning, for those that need it most, so we write words that only we can see, decipher it how it should be? I wonder why? Its not shakespere, its just how it is,, how it is here! So, this play on words, hey,, bird song, you are gone too long, so we wait for autumn and bird song, Or wonder why we exist,,, for what reason,,,lets make a list,,, we love it here,, the pain, the sorrow,, we look at the future, we look at the past, they died too young,,, didnt last, when you wake up as i hope you will, dont be a sheep, dont be still,,, take what it is,, take it home, you will realise that you are not alone!

As I listen to the rain drops,,falling on my roof, lost in contemplation, not being aloof, just thinking about existance, how they reflect it all,, they are here, they fall, they cease to exist,,, just like us all,, a moment in time, its all that we are, dont look to the future, dont look too far, we're a whisper in time, we can cease to be, suddenly, ,,,,,,,, its all made up, by you and me.

A trillion years have come and gone, in all eternity it was not that long, gone in a blink, no time to think,, do we swim or do we sink?,,,are we too thin or did we get fatter,, who won the last game?,,, does it matter? Where we came from, we all want to know, created by friend or by foe?,, Are we an experiment of the alien kind? Lets look and see what we find.
So, there was a big bang suddenly,, out of nothing, well, that we can see, but it miraculously created you and me, not instantely, first we came from the sea,,,apperently,, then we grew arms and legs,,, now we can climb a tree,, dont know why that tree was there, hey, its only a story, lets be fair, lets not care, our prestigious leaders tell us its so,, who are we,, and what do we know?
Without their direction,, yes we would lose all connection, with the reality, of finality,, yes, they save us day by day, we need to listen to what they say.?????????

The wonderment of bird song, on a summer day, the beauty of the leaves that fall, and how they float , then lay,, .............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................
If I die today, then let me say, its all a load of bollocks, you live you die, you laugh, you cry, you grow,,, you know,,, that all that it is ,,, and all that it could have been, no terrible sin, you can never change what will be,,, so,, relax and let go and just see.

Where smoke is found
There is always fire
Undoubtably or not
Trouble always finds you
When you least expect it
Prowling on the catwalks
Eyes peering into shadows
Ears touching the walls
Watching and listening
For signs of witchcraft
Real or imaginary
No one is ever alone or
Really that innocent
Because the cameras lens
Is always searching
Whenever you get away
Wherever you need to go
To the mountains or forest
You’re only as safe
As you feel inside

About this poem:
Poem about accusations and superstitions and leaving ancient worries behind. Seeking solitude in nature always refreshes my inner sense of peace and tranquility. Much of modern society is conducted under the auspices of surveillance and security. Thanks to all the great poets, past and present, that have made CS a haven for many to explore and share a common love for poetry and free expression of thoughts that generate so much passion and feeling.
Thanks to all my fellow poets for helping me to reach my '600' poem milestone. I started writing poetry on this site ten years ago after a particularly painful breakup and I have never looked back.
