manroe23: Usually five months , but its really depends how i feel about him
What ? !!!
Skype immediately, got to know them. This email correspondence is ridiculous. Skype is free, better than phone calls, and sure as hell better than waisting time with email. Pfft, simple as that.
feelinglost: Is Skype a useful tool when deciding whether to have a relationship with a person or not?
It's a useful tool for deciding if you do or do not have a relationship...If you skype too soon, it can blow a potential relationship OUT OF THE WATER....and for many reasons!
country_lady67: an hour if their is an attraction lol
Wow, Country works fast!! Too bad I don't have Skype. The only one who worked fast on me was my first mistake (er, I mean first wife), who said after we met, "Oh, by the way, we're getting married in three and a half months." "MARRIED?????!!!!" "Yes". She meant it, too. Carson City, Nevada, August, 1983, a day that will live in infamy!!!

No sense making a time or anything, just when you BOTH feel comfortable...

It is very useful.
Usually that depends, but I like to speak on skype as soon as possible - after a few days or a week of exchanging e-mails, maybe? I cannot judge a person by e-mails and chats only. I like to hear their voice and see them on camera.
The only problem with skype is that I seem not to be assertive enough to finish the call in time. Last three men I was talking to kept me on skype for 4 hours each and hardly let me go. Now I hesitate to talk to them again.

It is simple you just say.... "hey! gotta go" thats all, they were probably wanting to leave as well but maybe thought you liked chatting so stayed.... try it!

They seemed very happy talking about themselves and sending various photos and pretty much didn't notice mine: 'I'm thirsty... I'm hungry...'. I probably should have just said: 'I have an hour for a chat and then I have to leave'.
nomade2011: It depends on the people... I mean, I'm a little shy and not used to skype...except with my ex-boyfriend lol
No need to be shy, they're just people, they can't bite through the screen....thankfully.
I've never had any worries about chatting to anyone, but there has been the odd time I've been a little nervous, at first anyway. That goes away, and once you stop staring at the other person, the conversation generally flows quite smoothly.
Not sure why some people have a schedule they follow, as to how long before you do whatever, it seems silly to me. If you want to talk to someone, do it, whether you just met them, or you've known them for your entire life.

I agree with you....why play around when you have the opportunity right in front of you...wait and you miss out....JMO
leigh2154: HOW LONG SHOULD IR TAKE BEFORE YOU SKYPE?????
If I was skype(ing) with Kid....just long enough to press the on button!!
Cause all I'd wanna do... Is look at him, just view......
Oh I dunno, the last gal I chatted with on Skype disappeared shortly after, not sure why. Maybe she found me hideous, then again, maybe she fainted, bonked her head, and forgot my name.
For a computer dude... I'm pretty clueless when it comes to software. So, *who* is going to write the thread on *how* to use the software I downloaded and installed on this computer???
I'm a *guy*... we don't read instruction manuals and want the 5 minute, condensed version or better yet... wait till the movie comes out
All you need is a camera....Skype software is free, just google it and download it....Skype will walk you through the rest..It takes 2 to 3 minutes tops...
