Why the heck not have alcohol on Christmas day. Its just another day to me and I like to have a glass of wine in the evening while relaxing.

I think where the problems come in is when in a big family gathering one or two indulge too much and then turns into a big family fight. Had to attend to a few domestic violence fights on Christmas day when I was a police officer. Very sad that a day of peace is ruined be consuming too much alcohol.

Its a tradition to start Christmas morning with hot shortbread out of the oven and Baileys and coffee...It just carries on from there
