Carl96190: Obtuse and infantile. You will have to do better, or are you genuinely that stupid?
Are insults from afar, where you are safe, the best you can do rather than comment on the point made? Stupid? No,highly successful and reasonably intelligent actually. My original intention was to join in and debate, nothing more, but i find silly little men like you irratating, and in fact have scrapped better things off the sole of my shoe,so i will leave you to play.

if fellas like tattoos on girls?
don't know
I'm not a fella.....
going through a hard time myself now, but I decided that when all is over, I am going to have a tattoo of a phoenix rising from the ashes. to me, it's a symbol of troubles overcome.
that phoenix will remind me of the fact that in bad things always lies the seed of good things. it empowers me....
so, why should I be bothered with what a fella thinks about it? if he doesn't like it, I'll be happy to show him the exit gladly.
tatoos used to have that stigma of criminal culture (or the Navy - low ranking military) attached to them, but that has not been the case over the last 20 years or so
since both the criminal and the non criminal factions now wear tatoos - we are called upon to get to know some one is before judging - if we have the right to judge at all
BTW I know several "rednecks" WITH tatoos - either younger -as it is acceptable now especially among younger folk - or older vets of the military
actually in the martial arts schools in particular that I attended the men - most of them - had tatoos - usually asian language characters that identifed them with their art (their martial art) - so you will see tatoos often in the martial arts culture also - which is usually a rather conservative and often religious culture

A tattoo on a woman to me is the same as a tattoo on a guy. If it's done in good taste, not too big and has a little meaning and class, so what. I am not going to judge a woman because of her tattoo.
Carl96190: You have missed my point, which is that the tattoo is a sign that identifies someone as a member of the criminal underclass whether they are or not. Tattoos may be all the rage at the trailer park, but a potential employer will pick an unmarked person over a tattooed one because the tattoos will present an undesirable image for their business. Harley Davidson dealerships excluded. FYI, tattoos are a deal breaker for anyone who tries to join any branch of the Australian military. The era of the sailor tattoo is long, long gone in the Royal Australian Navy. In the corporate world, if someone who has a tattoo is hired most employers require (as a condtion of employment) that the tattoo must be covered during work hours. For example, the receptionist for my doctor has a tattoo that she got on her forearm when she was younger and with a 'bad boy' boyfriend. She has to wear a bandage over the tattoo because the doctor is worried that the tattoo will frighten his patients.
As someone who has worked in the field of Human Resources, in the corporate world, an individual is hired based on their qualifications, not their outward appearance.
Every company has a dress code policy, some require covering of tattoos, body piercings, loud/wild hair color/styles, however, it does not mean that the individual with tattoos, body piercings or wild hair color/styles is not approved for hire.
There are many individuals working at executive levels, who have tattoos, body-piercings, etc. and you would, most likely, be shocked that they are regarded as hard-working, ethical and moral human beings who contribute not only to their companies but to their communities.
galrads: Don't see any problems with body art on anyone. And if anyone thinks differently about me because of a piercing or my tatts... that's their problems.
I believe tattoos and other body art, are simply a way people use to express themselves. You like them or you don't, but they sure don't change someone's personality.
In this day and age tattoos are well excepted (in most parts of the world, hehe) and certainly not a social stigma anymore.
I have several tattoos and they don't show when I'm dressed, so I think if I got undressed to leave a first impression, it wouldn't be a good one to begin with, would it?
The world is changing and people get more freedom to express themselves every day. Unfortunately the small minded do not seem interested to expand any horizons or to respect other people's views.
Tolerance will go a much longer way than bigotry, any day.
