Albertaghost: People have been saying that for a long time. IN times of old, tribes fought against each other and when they lost, their entire civilizations died so this is nothing compared to that.

And, wondering what makes you feel that this year is different than any other. Concerns are always there and, brinkmanship is a way of life for many nations, in all times.

I am almost surprised by your reference to history. And so humbly so. Do your facts ascertain the reality today? Are facts what is the reality today? so.... i must go and muster some of these facts today.

I haven't much faith in Obama or anyone else on the present scene... we've been sold down the river frankly.

Common sense was something that didn't involve a bottom line... things have changed my dear.

The point being... you can find 'facts' any way you'd like to see them Tao.

gininitaly: The quote thingy not working again.

"There is far to much hate in the World today and anarchy just adds fuel to the many fires now burning across the World.Stirring up people does not solve anything.j.m.o. ~ Best"

Then again here are a few divergent thoughts:

"There is no such thing as being non-political. Just by making a decision to stay out of politics you are making the decision to allow others to shape politics and exert power over you. And if you are alienated from the current political system, then just by staying out of it you do nothing to change it, you simply entrench it." ~ Joan Kirner

Or....

"Give me control of a nation's money and I care not who makes her laws." ~ Mayer Amschel Rothschild

Morning Gin,my comment had no political agenda,I just notice that some forum posters of late are hell bent on stirring up hatred.

There IS much wrong in our world today , the Middle east in particular.

Doing nothing is not an option, but doing something with no thought to the outcome, in my opinion, is sheer stupidity.

I object to others who are so opinionated as to not see the larger picture, and seem to think it is their God given right to tell others how they should live their lives.

Yes, gininitaly, how profound! But... is the subject that acquires and reiterates those facts a 'thinking' subject? or just an air head that whirls out someone elses facts?

I think Iran will launch a pre-emptive missile attack on the Dimona reactor in Israel and perhaps have Hisbollah and Hamas launch a barrage of rockets as a diversion
