Eagle the problem with me not loving myself I agree lies within myself but also it is learned behaviour...if you have been told since you were 6 yrs old that you are only a burden, and not up to anyones standards, then its hard to see beyond the promises of love/friendships when your doing all the giving until you see that theirs were only empty and using you till you had no more of what they wanted.

And I hit these lows because in society these days, there are few that will go out of thier way to be kind to strangers. And yes there are beautiful images all around in nature and all but I am talking about personal interactions. If a rose jumped up and ran to me telling me how much they loved me...I would probably faint....rolling on the floor laughing .

BTW...got your reading assignment on other blog...will try to find them.

smile247tome: For those of you who studied basic Physics in high school, the first Law of Motion (in thought or deed) states that "Every action has an equal and opposite reaction". The reaction can never be stopped, not even by the Creator for it is an Eternal Law, which the Creator (or laws of Physics, if you dislike the word Creator) abide by too, without exception whatsoever.

If we do a good Karma, it uplifts our own soul one notch up. So do it for yourself only. If we do a bad Karma, it brings down our own soul one notch lower. Noone can stop this up and down reaction, ever. So let us do good Karma for out of love for ourselves. Others may love us (or may not love us, it is their Karma) for just doing that. Karma must be done without expectation of any rewards or punishment. Rewards shall eventually come...and so will the punishment...precisely as earned and deserved...no more...and no less. It is an unstoppable eternal law. That It Is.

If one buries one's head in the sand, and claims he or she can't see the sunlight, it sure does not exist for that individual.

laugh You've misconstrued Newtonian physics to suit your ideals. It says 'every action', and that would mean every good or bad (because you're trying to corroborate karma) action and it pertains to all motion being 'resisted'. Friction and resistance isn't karma. Even Karma isn't karma. uh oh

BTW - Newton's First law: The velocity of a body remains constant unless the body is acted upon by an external force ... OMG you mean there's no karma unless another body acts on it? Oh crap. laugh

You've stated the- Third law: The mutual forces of action and reaction between two bodies are equal, opposite and collinear.

Where's that sun again? hmmm

Let me further simplify it for you dear without belittling you (that is your Karma). Sow whatever Karma (Action) you want to sow, you shall have no choice or escape from it other than reap its good or bad rewards, sooner or later. Newton or no Newton, Sand or no sand. Who can deny there is no reaction to any action (Karma) in this universe? Once the wise truly understand it, they strive to sow good Karma to benefit from it and are liberated.

The kingdom of heaven is within you, not outside. So love yourself first and be strong and free from the expectations of love from the outside world. This shine of loving freedom will then draw other loving people to you as those loving vibrations begin to synchronize in the universe.

From "I Want Happiness.", try first removing "I". Then strive to take out "Want". The only thing then left for you will be "Happiness".

P.S: All Newton's Laws fully apply to all bodies, their deeds (Deeds are Actions) and thoughts (Thoughts provoke Deeds that are Actions)...at rest or in motion...in the spiritual realm, explainable but beyond the scope and space available here. And yes, friction and resistance will always be produced inherently without fail. Don't people resist actions of even good people and cause friction? But then it is their Karma for them to deal with. That goes beyond the scope of discussion here.

Note: The word "Action" means the word "Karma" here for clarity.

Illogical. If every action has an equal and opposite force then what you refer to in illusion as 'good' will also encounter resistance. The universe going 'against' you. There is no good, no bad, there's only perception of and judgement of, motion.

Well that explains a lot. Religious folk tend to bring their ideals of morality to every issue. Magnetism (what you're making ties to here) is not karma either. And it sure as heck isn't religion.

smile247tome:
From "I Want Happiness.", try first removing "I". Then strive to take out "Want". The only thing then left for you will be "Happiness".

From "You want to look stupid.", try first removing "you". Then strive to take out "Want". The only thing then left for you will be " to look stupid".

Your assumed 'wisdom' can be manipulated. It takes more than ill-conceived aphorisms to make truth.

So a ball rolling down a hill has karma. Stupid ball shouldn't have tried to be good and go up the bad hill. laugh

You want to stop mixing morality with science but I think you won't because you can't let go of your need for moral judgment to assign the illusion good or bad to all things. grin

You might want to study determinism and entropy before you go off half cocked. And hey, 'belittling' is just another perception as is the guilt you use in order to gain favorable karma that doesn't exist.

To the Faceless: Go get drunk and then drive your good car at a good speed into a good tree to a total wreck. Then share with us whether there was any bloody reaction to your stupid action (Karma)in thought and deed. I truly believe that you totally lack the concept of Karma and are more into jumping the gun. Nevertheless, I do like your demeaning Karma style...in thought and in deed, of course.

I rest my case. I am not going to fix your wrecked car or you. You were being governed by the laws of motion...Stupid.

playball mmmm....is this post one of those thought provoked deeds? and just wondering...beyond the scope and space available here...not sure i understand what you are saying here...looks like there's plenty of room here...? that is of course, if you care to explain your comments further, cause right now the emphasis seems to be on something other than information...

If Karma did exist this world would be in a much better shape.

However, good intentioned people tend to believe in Karma –beyond science- in a way to balance our actions, looking for the positive side.

If some one believes in Karma it is fine
if others do not it is fine too.

Yet, tolerance and respect to other’s beliefs is something than only specimens with a much higher conscience can provide.

yes karma apples are my favorite! oh sorry wrong poll.well while i'm here, yes on the real question too. i went through a period of life in my 30's not caring about the consequences of my actions,or taking care of my responsibilities, and not showing as much respect to certain people and things as i should. then things just would not work out for me. no matter how hard i tryed the chips always fell the other way. so i moved to alaska, for a while, meditated, straightened my act up.and things got much betterwave
