wafwotam: Its absolute rubish people living in lala land.Have you been to a childrens ward lately??
It has nothing to do with a childrens ward ...Im talking about the deeds you do in life determine your fate. You reap what you sow. What you put out there comes back to you....O and dude? for the record, I hardly live in "Lala land"

wafwotam: So you think the children got what they had comeing rediculous.
Simply put...if you steal from someone then the law of karma says at some point you will be stolen from so that you get both experiences (opposite ends of the same pole)
I believe in karma, what goes around comes around, its just sometimes it doesnt always show itself in the way you might like it to or the time you would like.

trisher69: What goes around, comes around!
i agree..but sometimes things happen, good or bad whether we people are deserving of it or not, for example a criminal in prison who won a massive prize in the lotteries. And when people do rotten things to someone else, that has nothing to do with karma, in many cases.
I wake up wishing for it everyday. I give and give, time, energy, support, friendship and even go out of my way to help others that I don't know to have an easier day. I ride public transit, say hello to driver getting on, and thank him/her as I leave. Yet over and over I get a kick in the teeth from those that begged me for support, help, and even my friendship. I end up as a fair weather friend. If no one is around...coool come sit and chat, (I was in a What I thought was a great relationship for over 5 yrs, betrayed, kicked out with my 10 yr old daughter with 2 weeks notice after standing by him as he fought to clear his name in court for assaulting the woman he had an affair with and with all his promises to my little one...seperation was only temporary etc As soon as he was exonerated [they caught her lying about injuries] threw me to the side with a ... Can't you see this is never going to work...I stopped loving you a long time ago!) But all these woman/fair weather friends rallied around to gossip on how far I had fallen. And "guess she is no better than us after all is she?" Seriously, I was having nervous breakdown, daughter was acting out and angry, and this is what I get for helping others? Do I hope for Karma against him...? NOPE Do I hope for Karma for my daughter/myself? Yes...show us respect and eventually a man that is not an abuser. Give me a man that will truly look at me and say...Wow You are a wonderful person and it would be an honour for me to walk through life with you!
****Yes I know everyone has a sad tale to tell and my telling you all the bare bones of mine is not for salicious/pity sake..its to use as context for the post!****
When one "does good" expecting "something" in return that is NOT giving.
Giving is GIVING! No expectation of pay back.
First step is giving to yourself and your daughter BEFORE giving to others. Why should others respect yours and your daughter´s needs if you don´t respect them yourself? Why should others treat you better than you treat yourself?
Also ...
Something I learned several years ago ... Sometimes we can be blind to gifts that come our way because we are so focussed on receiving from where we had given, that we don´t value those gifts or their source (in our mind they count for nothing)
Now I value every gift every day brings ... from the bird that comes and sings while I´m having breakfast, to the friend who calls round unannounced when I´m feeling down (even if and especially if it´s not the friend I expected).

For those of you who studied basic Physics in high school, the first Law of Motion (in thought or deed) states that "Every action has an equal and opposite reaction". The reaction can never be stopped, not even by the Creator for it is an Eternal Law, which the Creator (or laws of Physics, if you dislike the word Creator) abide by too, without exception whatsoever.
If we do a good Karma, it uplifts our own soul one notch up. So do it for yourself only. If we do a bad Karma, it brings down our own soul one notch lower. Noone can stop this up and down reaction, ever. So let us do good Karma for out of love for ourselves. Others may love us (or may not love us, it is their Karma) for just doing that. Karma must be done without expectation of any rewards or punishment. Rewards shall eventually come...and so will the punishment...precisely as earned and deserved...no more...and no less. It is an unstoppable eternal law. That It Is.
If one buries one's head in the sand, and claims he or she can't see the sunlight, it sure does not exist for that individual.
the quoted laws of physics have nothing to do with thought or deed but back to the topic can you define the 'karma' that is being polled here...in its roots it meant actions of individuals rather than some kind of natural fate or balance that seems to be suggested by the op

On the contrary ... It has everything to do with it.
Just because it can be explained in "physics" terms doesn´t make it un-natural...
