You should have listed at least 100 of the greatest actors in the country up in Dail Eireann but I think the best performances I have seen when it comes to fake sympathy, concern and compassion have to be from Joan Freeman, CEO of Pieta House racket charity

neesoncol01: Ya, Gleeson has done an American accent a few times in films and done an alright job, so did Farrel in fairness
have you ever seen gleeson in lake placid or green zone? he can't do an american accent. colin farrell in phone booth is the worst attempt at a new york accent i have ever heard. although farrel does a passable generic yank accent.

Thought farrel was alright in The Recruit and Pride and glory and a few others were he had to do an american accent.
Gleeson did a good yank accent in Dark Blue and Black Irish

as i said i think farrell does a decent generic american accent. maybe i just take to much notice of accents and other people dont. for example, the yanks think that hugh laurie does a great american accent and i think it's pretty bad!

Ya man maybe. Ive noticeD Gleeson do different american accents though. In Black Irish he does a Boston accent
neesoncol01: which would you choose as the better actor
Would have to be Cillian Murphy, The guy is just phenomenal, went to the Galway Arts festival last year just to see him, He put on a one man show called Misterman, wow, was out of this world, He played the part of Thomas so incredibly convincing everyone was left speechless. He received a standing ovation for nearly 10 minutes afterwards.
