A while back I registered my Pedigree dog with the Kennel club and in doing so had to prove the mother and Father were Pure Breds ...

I recieved the dogs papers a while later and can breed it and sell the pups/display them at shows as Purebreds ...

My Question is Shouldnt we as Humans also have similar DNA samples from both Parents so the kids in the future will be able to know their Gene pool....
It would be a great way of finding out if there are any heridatory illnesses or if there were Triplets in the Family without the kids in the future wondering about the previous generations Genepools....

What a brillant advantage i never thought of thumbs up ..The amount of savings in legal bills would be massive Plus a child has a definitive right to know his/her parents esspecially those who may go down the road of adoption conversing

In many countries allowed the adopted kids, to have access to their real parent/s name, on adulthood age (around 18 give and take).JMO

and we should freely offer Government our DNA?
As if they hadn't enough INFO on us as it is?
Freely offer it to them?wow jaw drop

Once our DNA starts to show up in Registers, given by us without any Coercion, how long until every conceivable Government-Agency will make use of it?
Bad enough when they force us!
But just lay down and give it to them?uh oh

well conrad wave

If you carried a dna card and had a accident and died ....the speed in which your organs could be shipped to the correct waiting patient waiting on a liver or heart would be greatly increased ...im hoping your familiar here with organ donors

whitepaws: Im 100% in agreement with you on this ....I dont know about you but i carry a donor card with me so if i die my organs can be used by someone else and im all for improving medical science within reason ...
As for the rugrats well thats another thread all together

You know what, I agree with everyone who says to me about getting a donor card but for some reason I never get around to doing it. I mean i'm not expecting to drop dead any time soon, but you never know.

In the U.S. whether there is a donor card or not, the family is asked if they want to donate organs when someone is taken off life support or if they come into the emergency room barely alive. Doctors/hospitals don't always have access to a persons wallet so
they ask the family if they want to donate the loved ones organs.

The organ donor card is good if you are away from home on vacation. An organ donor card, even in another country, might save your life.

My sister (passed) was my brothers T Cell match and at the City Of Hope she was requested to give extra blood or national and international DNA banks.
With the knowledge of blood lines we (they) can find what ails us all.
