Bluefish22: You need not even post on the thread if you dont believe or agree with the topic.
Any topic should be posted, if it causes people to think. Judging denotes aristocracy.
Agree with your first bits BUT judging by aristocracy is not something done in Australia. Judging is done by our "peers" meaning people of equal standing in the eyes of the law.
And some people are very touchy when it comes down to talking about their personal spending habits. I knew my 2nd wife enjoyed the pokies a bit when we married and we would spend a couple of hundred a week on them over 3-4 nights. Not a problem when 2 decent wages coming in. But when it comes down to her cutting back to 3 days a week and getting bored at home and doing $1,000 per week...........
Especially when her income had dropped. and there were still bills to pay and her daughter to educate. She saw money in the bank so "why not double it?"
Like a lot of people, I am frugal in that I do not have to have the latest gadget "just because." I have 7 different planes for working timber and never saw the need for an electric planer. Until I had to do so much work to plane down timbers from metric size to Imperial size that my place was built in. Now I don't know why I waited so long.
Bought my son and son-in-law the "Renovator" tool (as seen on tv) for their birthdays. Looks like a great gadget but I do have enough tools to do the work they do, just means I have to use 15 different things instead of one tool with 37 attachements.
Both loved the gifts, although son-in-law was stoked with the wrapping paper (Androids) as much as the tool.
We have chickens for eggs, goats for love and a lamb for xmas..
there was a guy at a place i used to work that liked to rap about loving goats......but i think his was a different type of love than the one of which u speak........mmmm roast lamb
curly28: Reolvine: I don't feel this thread is appropriate to be asking about peoples financial matters on the internet for the world to see. So it's none of your business. jmo!
....not asking for your bank acc details......just about your philosophy around the almighty dollar......you dont have to post in this thread if you dont want too.........
Bluefish22: But you feel advertising that we're single and looking to converse with strangers is alright for the world to see?
Money will not make you happy. You will. Go for a walk in an old native bush forest, listen to the birds.
Money means nothing, its nothing to be held sacred.
hmmm....money only has value because we give it value.......as long as u spend less than u have coming in then its working for you....and yes........i love nature to.....walking places away from the sounds and smells of traffic.....now thats when i know im alive
curly28: You are missing the point on what I had to say about this thread I don't wish to discuss my personal matters on line. There are a lot of scammers on here. Yes it is ok to chat with strangers on here there are heaps of things to chat about other than money issues I don't give out private financial information about myself on the net. I don't see what your problem is
Each to their own
..there is no such thing as strangers.....only friends we have not met yet.............and maybe some enemies we have not yet made
