I don't recall anything being "free", In fact a lot on that list I never heard of. I remember some peyote cactus one summer weekend. that is a "hallucinogenic", not too different than the psilocybin mushrooms, but different none the less. I think we were in 4th grade,...about 40 years ago. lol. time flies.

there was one kid that really liked his "LSD" at one point he was absorbing a 4-way hit of windowpane beneath each eyelid. Sadly one morning he was found on a island that was close to a train trestle that people thought he must have fallen off. That area I grew up was pretty wild back then.
A lot didn't make it out alive.

In my drug days (or daze to be more precise) lsd was my drug of choice. I remember doing 11 hits of windowpane at once and having the distinct feeling that God was watching very intently so I asked him for a little privacy...how arrogant I was. I first did lsd (a four way hit of Purple Osley) in 1964 and didn't even have a clue what the word drug meant...boy were my eyes opened. It being my first drug experience, everything that I tried after that was anticlimactical (cocaine, mescaline, peyote, meth, mda etc...) and kinda boring. Coke made me feel like the best one on the block but I could get that out of a bottle of Jack Daniels at a fraction of the cost. All the rest seemed like body stones and not really worth the effort. Of course then I progressed into full blown alcoholism until I was 35 and finally sobered up. None of this is meant to boast, it is just my journey to date (26 years of sobriety and counting). I wouldn't recommend this trip for anybody and I was very lucky to survive. God loves drunks and fools and at one time I was both. doh

Actually Tryptamines are "hallucinogenic" compounds.
The active compound in the peyote cactus is mescaline.
Mescaline is indeed a tryptamine.

Nope. "old-timer" here,..and one who would NEVER admit to doing anything on a site where I couldn't delete my post,...so,...I have NEVER done drugs,...

Mescaline is a phenethylamine psychedelic,...not a tryptamine like LSD or psilocybin.

I have never used drugs but can understand the attraction of losing control and for a moment forgetting the harsh realties that life sometimes holds for us.
