Same wishes here, too ! Merry Christmas, everyone ! May your days be filled with peace, love and happiness ! Let's see who was good and will get a gift under the tree. :)))
Actually it's very interesting to argue (even if you silently agree with the other one), I see it as a good way to find out exactly what the other one thinks. :))) As for the complaining, well, this is a resilience test. :D :D
We change with every experience, so next time we also act differently. Rebuilding confidence is the most difficult thing to do and it may take years. But if you don't try you'll never get over it.
First of all, I know that I will never move from where I live now. So the only option would be for him to do this.
For a relationship, being close is important. Otherwise, feelings fade away.
Let's assume that you meet and everything is perfect. If the one who has to move does not speak the language of that country, it becomes very difficult. Anyway the one to do this step would become unemployed. If he/she is at least ready to accept this idea, anyway after a while this will put a lot of tension on a fragile relationship.
Will she/he be able to work again in the field he/she is prepared ? Will he/she be ready to accept any kind of job ? Will he/she adapt to the new culture, if the differences are big ?
And on top of all this, being far away from friends and family will not help him/her cope with a totally new life.
All options are actually true. All I can say is that my life changed totally. You'll change habits, you'll make new friends, you'll make new plans, you'll have different goals, values will change. Learn what you have to learn from this experience and forget the hurt. It's up to you to have a better life now.
Yes, it's clear... I can see the difference in the way of thinking across the ocean and in Europe with regard to this. This sad story is also debated by my friends on Facebook.
On Facebook, among my European friends, there is a total agreement, concerning the revising of the guns policy and laws in USA. All comments are centered around the "today is not the day" White House statement and the common idea is "when".
Yes, it's a tragedy and we are all sorry for what happened and we all think of the kids that died and their families. But something has to be done and that is fast.
My country's economy is not based on guns (don't look at where I live now), at least not in the sense of everyone being able to buy a gun. People don't get shot in my (home) country as they do in USA, because you cannot freely by guns. Yes, I've seen on the news a couple of people shot and those were mafia, organised crime, but those are rare cases. No child died in my country being shot by lunatics who can buy arms. I've never seen a gun in my life (sorry, in the museum, yeah) and I've never met anyone to own an arm, it's not such an ordinary thing. Arms are for the police.
Yes, guns kill people. Their purpose is to kill. Cars were not built with the purpose to kill.
Let's train teachers to use guns, let's arm them, like I read in another post. Not only that... let's give arms to kids themselves, why not ? Let's give arms to every soul living on this Earth and you'll see no more blood baths.
Yes, some years ago I met someone on a similar site. We were together for over 4 years, but I had to move far away, so it ended. I also made a couple of really good friends. :)
Sometimes if I see old people, I buy them something to eat. I also had stories with food thrown back at me. I don't give money because they spent it on alcohol or drugs or the money goes to the leader of the organised crime group.
