I am curious to hear your take on dating or passing by widow or widowers so please comments are helpful. I am a widower and I would definately date a widow because she had the commitment to stay in the relationship in the long term.

It would depend on the timeframe. If it recently happened, I would say no...That person has a lot of healing to do before they date again. If its something that happened long ago then yes I probably would. wine

Why should someone be passed by just because their previous spouse has died. Everyone deserves to be loved!!

Yes, good point. At my age, however, a widower would be someone whose wife died at an old age, so he would not have murdered her.

We are no different, and alone too.

as many single people, I suppose we miss, the times.

Yet as he always told me, I am very cheeky, that is good.

As a widow myself I would certainly date a widower as we would have a common understanding of each others pain.
But if his loss was recent then I would not date him as I would then simply become a substitute for his late wife.
