Has anyone ever claimed to love you but then made many excuses as to why you could NOT be together? True love is unconditional & finds reasons TO be together & ways to make it happen, instead of making excuses as to why you can NOT be with the person you claim to love.

First that is not true love what you describing. I dont see anything wrong to say "i love you, but". I might "like/love" someone, but not in a way to leads to a romantic relationship.
so if someone is telling you "love yuo", and don't want to be together, he/she is telling you "i love you - you are a nice person"... but there needs to be more of "you" to really "love you.".. ..and it it is very obvious they don't want to have a romantic relationship with you..
