In this day and age we are lied to by many people,not just in relationships.
Work colleagues, friends,family, the list is endless.
So I find that I'm more upset with the person who chooses to lie to me.
I hope that I am honest enough to face someone with the truth and expect the same from them.j.m.o.

I was upset when consistently lied too, I found out this person was a pathological liar and simply had no conception what the truth was, in fact the truth to them was what they believed at the time, which was the current thought.
I ceased to blame this person for their actions when it was explained to me this person was a psycho pathological liar and would probably never be cured.

I am not one to get upset.
Being upset only harms one person,yourself.If someone has an problem with me,i will,without hesitation confront it.If they still have a problem,let them carry the issue around,i have better things to do with my life.

There is always an exception to the rule. I assume that the poster is talking in general terms don't you.

without a specific example - in general - having someone tell you a lie is a betrayal of trust.... there is no fault in me because I believed it - some people are very good liars and sometimes we want to believe something that we know to be untrue....
