Do you let your cat go up on the kitchen table or counters, or dining room table?

I would not let any animals on the counters and of course would do what needed to be done. This was kind of entertaining.

I saw another that had a dog on the counter but was not impressed, it was very obvious that they had placed the poor dogy on the counter as it was very nervous in it's actions. I am sure that there are all kinds of situations though. I have seen cats get into places that I would never imagine. For me though I don't tolerate this and it might take time but it all gets worked out. I think that lately I am more appalled at what I have seen humans allow there little children to do or be put at risk...seriously makes no sense.

Guess this Cat will never try drink from the Toilet!
We had five Cats at one time!
But a big Garden,Shed they could get into, yeah, and also some liked in the House!
But the Old Man was strict.
No Cats on the Table!
Bowls and Plates for the Cats had to be absolutely washed separate,or there would be a Ruckus!grin

That has in my experience worked really, really well on dogs. Especially when you let the get close before giving them both barrels with one trigger pull. Leaves a bit of a mess though. :)

My cats know the counters are off limits, but sometimes, because by counter tops have some gloss, when I come home if the light is right I may detect a string of paw prints. Interrogation and scolding usually reveals the culprit and a water gun session (chase) follows. This has greatly reduced the number of times I see paw prints on the counter upon arrival home from a trip to the store or wherever.

My cats know better. Years ago I used to sometimes detect paw prints on the counter top (which is glossy enough to hold the evidence if viewed at certain angles), but those days are past and they know that going there results in a soak from the super-soaker.

Sorry about double post. The CS system reported on the first post it couldn't find the thread, then dumped me back into a blank repost square, so I didn't know the first one had gone through.

Obstinance_Works: Dogs are submissive, cats are dominant.

Men lvoe dogs because they're willing and loyal. Women love cats because they're aloof and disloyal.

Not true. I loathe cats and adore dogs. I have many female female friends who think the same and many male friends who adore cats.
