Absolutely not - disgusting, particularly if they've just buried a little something in the litter tray. Mine trained from a kitten, knows it's out of bounds and does not do it.

The two Boys here know better than that. Of course they do not let on what they have been up to when you are not here. Just keep in mind, a healthy one can jump seven times it's own height.

Hi Tom. I didn't answer your poll because I'm not a cat owner. I don't particularly like them and much prefer dogs. However, I have noticed that when visiting cat owners the majority allow them in the kitchen and many on the kitchen counters. It makes me ill truly, and I cannot accept a cup of tea or coffee when I see cats in the kitchen.

I've never seen the attraction of cats, give me a dog any day.
I always remember my neighbour telling me her cat had a habit of peeing in the bowl of her electric mixer.....
1 If I had to have a cat, it wouldn't be allowed in the kitchen. 2 If I had a cat that peed in a mixing bowl, I wouldn't be sharing the information with anyone.

...I have a cat....she either sit on my lap/by the fire.and follows me everywhere.....not once has she ..sat on table/kitchen counters........she knows this.....I treat her right.....
I'm more of a cat person than a dog person. If I get a cat and it goes on the table I run at it and shreek into it's face. It usually takes 3 times doing that and the cat will never go on the table again, ever. I had someone staying with me for a while and she had a cat and I told her I don't allow cats on the table. The cat would jump on the table and she would pick the cat up and say no no no and put it on the floor. So every time the cat wanted some attention it would jump on the table. I said let me train the cat, she said no because you'll scare it. I said yeah?! so what? The cat didn't like me anyway. It's funny how the cat never went on the table when she wasn't around.
