Worse for whom? There are 3 people in "an affair": the cheater, the innocent or ignorant party, and the "Other" woman/man.
I think I can assume you mean worse for the ignorant party, the partner of the cheater, right?
I don't know as I have never been involved in this kind of thing, but they are probably equally bad, I'm guessing.

Hi GJ............I don't think it is possible to be physically intimate with someone without having some level of emotion in it. Of course that is just my opinion but I have no idea how people can separate their emotions and feelings from something as personal as intimacy.

I wouldn't accept any kind of physical cheating.
If you mean as emotional affair that someone has a thing for someone else and doesn't actually cheat on their partner or brings the relationship in jeopardy, I'm not the owner of my partners thoughts.
