I remember when I was growing up as a child I spent a lot of time outdoors with my friends riding our bikes, roller skating, playing hide-n-seek, sports and using our imaginations.
Nowadays, I wonder if children have grown too lazy and prefer to play video games and/or use other electronic devices instead of having old-fashioned fun and exercise.

What do you think?
Or maybe the parents!
I do appreciate that sometimes both parents have to work, run the home, shop etc. but spending time with your children is as important.
Rickets is coming back in the UK,which is partly due to children spending too much time indoors.

I think that's why there is so many obese kids these days, lack of exercise....but look at the parents, they are on their iPads, laptops, phones so really the kids don't stand a chance

yes, for sure, kids dont go out, get pale, dont know how to climb a tree....get unhealthy Same with some cs-members
I agree children need to use their imaginations, get fresh air and exercise as well as parents influencing their childrens habbits but maybe children need to keep up with the new generation of electronics also?

Why? Most Schools have electronic aids to teach all kids about the Modern World.
Not necessary for them to spend every living moment playing on an X box, watching TV and videos.
There is a whole different education to be had outside the home too,and it's a lot healthier.

The same withe me, always playing out-door, and there was no overweight kid around, like today.
When my son was little he didn't spend a lot of time on electronic things he was too busy playing outside with his friends. His father and I controlled how much time he spent on electronic things.
I not only think that today's generation have become lazy but it also goes for their parents too. I've seen more mom's and dad's on their cell phone while driving or shopping or sitting in diners etc.
I think all this electronic stuff took over the parents jobs.

The electronic devices keep children occupied for hours at a time and out of their parent's hair. Shame!

I could say the exact same thing and I am 25. It's startling how bad it's got just in the last 10-15 years. And what about when I'm 40 and(possibly)looking for a younger woman? I won't be able to because they're all going to be fat. This issue is very serious.

one generation always make value judgements on the other generation - and some of it is true and some of it is not true.
