Hi Shane! I've never been very close to my immediate family members. Don't know why but it's just the way it is 
However, I'm very very fortunate to have really really close/good friends, not one but more than ten (I kid you not!!) in both Macau (I spent 6 years there) and Malaysia (my home country). They are always there for me and a lot of times, they knew about my predicament even before I told them! Close friends can sense your mood, good or bad.
Also, it's equally important to be there for them too when they needed you

yes I think that is one way to tell a best friend. even tho you may not see each other often as time goes on, when you do get together it's as though you were just talking yesterday :)

All friendships are tested every now and then. If she was that good a friend that she was your best friend, soon you'll be best friends again and it will all be forgotten about.
