World cup poll.. Who do you want to win. (138)

I'm glad I'm not at the World Cup in brazil as protesters got violent on the street against all the money that was spent on it while no money goes into improving their appalling education system over there,..very poor conditions in health and homes,..it is sad you can't blame their frustration at the inequality over there and then there is the very wealthy on the other side of the coin.

I'd like brazil to win...because I just like brazilians,..well I've met one but that was on holiday 5 years ago,very passionate man,..

he worked as a chef .

I'd love to see Holland win. Their '74 and '78 teams were terribly unlucky not to win a world cup. They have a nightmare draw though. Spain in their group and a last 16 place against Brazil if they finish second in that group. But on tonight's performance they will probably beat Brazil.
I actually think England will do OK once they pick the right team. Barkley could have a fantastic tournament if he starts.
But its Spain for me!! I haven't seen any team that can beat them yet. They are really underestimated going into this tournament. 7/1...I'll take some of that...

And here's me thinking only Snowy supported the Orangies.

Tut tut now.. The most stupid thing about this poll is the 'support anyone who plays against England' part. And a poll put up by a man living in England and who is anti English anyway! But the main problem with all this, is that every weekend Irish people will don the jerseys of English club sides and cheer on those teams but when it comes to the England national team you could be tarred, feathered and shoved down a well if you so much as show an ounce of support for them. But if you go to pubs in England when Ireland are playing in an international competition. The biggest cheer is always for Ireland and the English always support them. But in Ireland its not acceptable to even wish England well and everyone has to become anti the England soccer team. Acceptable maybe for the begrudggers and those who feel that by not supporting them feel that they are striking a blow against the empire lol.. But isn't it time Ireland as a country grew up and stopped being so childish in these situations? But me who is English will of course hope my country do well but am under no illusion that we will get further than the quarter finals. My favourites are Spain and Holland, but of course never underestimate the Germans! And no people we don't all go on about 1966, that's the stupid brain dead media. Same as you all don't go on about Houghtons goal in '88. Peace out!
