jac_the_gripper: If it's anything like lama's spitting, it's not human-like at all.
I took my daughter and a few friends to an animal farm for her birthday one year, I think when she was 10. A lama spat a mass of greeners at her because he was pissy about getting the most food. She was absolutely mortified and took it very personally, bless her.
Poor girl.
It' s not something I would expect, but now I' ll be ready for it.
I think I' ll stand off th the side.
Good thing owls don' t spit, their head can do a 360.
2intrigued: If it's of sentimental value or may come in handy later on or is still useful, I tend to keep things. I think it's got something to do with my parents keeping things for as long possible because they couldn't afford to buy new things as well as having gone through the Great Depression.
You are right. I can't think of anyone's parent who threw anything away.
Sorry for the late reply, but I was distracted. Something about slicker than llama spit...

Junk?
There must be a places to recycle things most everywhere. Here there is one where we take everything used and new that we do not use or want and we get some money for it. At that place I get books new and used.
jac_the_gripper: Is there any class/status significance in Sanford and Son being black?
Hard to say at the time. Things were supposed to be improving in the 1970's. Black folk were no longer hung for taunting whitey, and this was a big step forward.

Ahaa, like Germaine Greer causing a storm in the 70's by outrageously suggesting that women work as free-lance secretaries instead of being tied to one boss for their whole working lives.
I sometimes forget what was revolutionary such a short time ago, and yet seems so dated in it's values now.
