Keeneye101: if scotland was a small county and small population it won,t matter much but given the size and population they would need there there own money
when ireland got independent we had to set up are own currency unless the do a deal were they keep letting the uk to run the eccic but the Scot cant have that one of the think the Scot want to get rid of
I'm suprised to see the no is ahead of the yes vote, I would have thought that Scotland would be ahead with the yes vote as it would be independence for them at long last,,
I think it is change and fear that prevents people voting yes,, plus the ones in the union will vote no of course but I think it be a a good change for them all in the long run,,have to look at the bigger picture.

I think a lot of Scots are flirting around with the idea of independence but when it comes to it their natural caution will make them vote No. I'd say it will be about 65% - 35% on the day.

People will always fear change, the yes vote has increased in the polls ,so it just goes to show that alot of scots braver than what was predicted.

It has indeed but I've a feeling it (the Yes vote) will fall back.

If it does go the no way will Scotland get another chance to vote for independence,I don't know how the uk can afford to fund Scotland and Northern Ireland,,
I think north Eire would be better a sovereign state maybe then Catholics and Protestants might be more united or would with time, just my opinion, and after all it's only an opinion that dosnt really matter so no need for people to get uptight about ones opinion because that is all it is at the end of the day.

If they do vote for independence there will be hell to play on getting them to share in the UK's national debt.

If Scotland breaks away, the shares will fall.. The markets in London will go WTF.. It costs London 10 Billion a year to keep the o6c..

Maybe, only problem is that they get a load of money from the rest of the UK.

.
Ah they should be exempt from paying anything towards it if they went yes, unemployment in Scotland is very high and it must be costing the English exchecker millions,.if Scotland voted yes it might take them awhile to get on their feet but make them more independant and they would feel so much pride and I think they would come together more in their communities and be more resourceful,,they have great fisheries, north sea,,oil rigs, wool, agriculture, textiles,
Phoenix: Who Scotland, o6c or Wales? Are you talking per capita or green backs..
I'm talking about Northern Ireland (no such place as o6c, except in the minds of intellectual giants in the 1916 society). The public sector in the North is huge.
snowlynx: Maybe, only problem is that they get a load of money from the rest of the UK.
Who gets loads Snowy? London and call me Dave & Nick Clegg? They've got loads already..Like the rest of the British Cabinet (they're all millionaires and most is old money not new money)..

Wouldn't be just to exempt them completely as they benefitted from it as well as England did. Good point you made about pride and communities.

Well I'm sure they could come to some arrangement,,,. ,,give them some scots whiskey,,lol

Unlike you snowy I'm not a west Bit with a partionist mindset. Why don't you call it (the Statlet, like Gaza & the west bank) what they really are the o6c or be PC. Why do you use a British term? And do you know who interviewed who? I do. Have you any idea about who's in the 1916.. I do. What right have you to try and talk about an article you admit to not having read etc..?
Phoenix: How much do you reckon per capita snwoy...?
Woo hoo look at me I can change what someone says in their quote, aren't I the clever boy.
I don't know how much per capita but I do know that the public sector is huge in the North.
I read a previous article you put up by those intellectual giants so I know what they are like.
I call it what it is - Northern Ireland - that is not a British term it's simply the name of the place. Calling it o6c is factually incorrect as it's not occupied in the first place.
Have you whitewashed any slogans on the sides of mountains recently?
peachmelba: Man on woman or woman on man much nicer to watch from a woman's prespective,
It's the ying and ylang.
But women are so soft and smooth......why would anyone want to watch an awkward, hairy man.....yeuck.
Actually Phoenix thinks I like the man on man stuff, if you disagree with him and you are male he eventually calls you 'gay'.....Lol, like a teenager does

Sell short on UK bank, energy listings & £ - if 'aye' the UK will fall to 7th biggest economy (loss of £34B p/a est) It costs the Eu taxpayers £\€ to 'administer' NI not the govt !
