Yep, I know the fun, my house in Lamont was built in 1908, and every and any sort of building/reno atrocity possibly imaginable was committed in that house over the years.
Finally had to strip it down to bare framing inside, and sheathing outside, and start right from scratch. I even pulled out half the floor joists and replaced them.

Think you should write him ...... you have nothing to lose but hopefully the opportunity to be with someone you care about. The world is changing and each one of us should have the opportunity to be with people that we love and care about. Why do some people or countries seem to have this happen while others cannot? Change will only happen when people fight for what they believe in and stand up for to change for the better. Imagine how many others are in the same boat but do nothing - someone needs to be the catalyst for change - so start with the person that you can control which is yourself.
