pretzelman: At which point did I call you anything???
At which point did I even mention Obama's name or criticize him??? I simply made one post referring to the current economic stimulus package and you popped in with all your nasty snippets.
F**ck off, Pretzelman. I'm sick and tired of whatever problem you've got with me, and I WILL NOT drag this forum down by wasting it in a pissing match with you.

Then you should have called me "narrow-minded" just because I disagreed with you
WhatUwish4: Geeze Pretzelman, you could at least TRY to be objective here. They are all guilty in some form or fashion, but taking sides just perpetuates the ignorance as we'll never fix a damn thing.
And of that statement you have said a mouthful pointing to exactly what we need to do. The only people going to fix our economy is the people who rule our form of democracy, and its economics. Unless we take that responsibility back into our hands, and out of the hands of lobbiest, activist, advocacy groups, our congressional representation, executive office, will continue to do what secures their positions in Washington. Fill up your representatives mail bag, keep their phones ringing off the hook, jam their computers with emails, and demand a response. They are our representatives, and it is up to us. Send them something everyday, everytime something pisses you off. Do not get run over by those getting paid with your money to lobby, and advocate, for their own needs. We are a Republic, of the peoples rule.
WhatUwish4: Isn't it funny how liberals created the mortgage crisis by enacting legislation strong-arming the banks to make loans to people who could not afford them? Carter started it and Clinton strengthened the legislation...even though they were repeatedly told by EVERY banker but one that it was madness, and they ignorned warning legislation proposed by Republicans on at least three occasions. Isn't it funny how GWB got blamed for all of it???
Of course O-Bloody-Bama won't fix the economy! He can't do anymore than what those who put him there tell him to do! (And I'm NOT referring to those who voted for him!)

I would have to say that is if money solves a economic problem then yes, it can be solved.
But.....the economy is more than money. It is jobs, it s production, it is technologies, it is capitol markets, it is small and big business, it is the stock market, it is consumer confidence and confidence in general.
Money is not the end all solution. But that is the approach the DEMs are taking. Pore money on it. When the value of the money declines, you print more money and pore it on again. And again. And again.
Till the US Dollar has a par value with the Mexican peso.
Every major currency and economy that has taken this approach of poring money on the economic problems of their country. Has seen this effect. When it takes a $100 dollars to buy a loaf of bread, like it took a 100 rubles to buy a loaf of bread in the last day of Russia....people will know if this economic recovery strategy of the DEMs worked.
What is sad, is that the economist around President Obama. They know this. They have seen it time and time again, in other countries that tried this kind of money bailout.

But again I say...it is not just a Democratic bail-out! Republicans have had their hand in it as well!
Never mind OBAMA! Whenever I hear some of the things OSAMA has to say, I'd say that he'd be by far a more appropriate guy to have in the White House! At least he'd be the first to put a stop to what's happening in Palestine instead of just ranting on about so-called "peace plans"! OK, it might look a bit strange seeing the President of the USA riding around on a camel, but at the rate things are going now it won't be long before OBAMA is seen riding around on a bike!
WhatUwish4: Oh sure! Giving another $800 Billion in fake money to failing organizations who have not even tried to fix their business formulas so they can piss that away and get back in line for another bail out. Even a trained monkey can see this is going to fix the economy.

Once again even less typing I have to do...hell maybe by the time I get to the last page, everything I will want to say will already be said for me...
BarrenPneuma: Obama has a much better chance of being the Antichrist than he does of fixing the economy. What has been done to the economy has been happening for 40 years and has been supported by all the big movers and shakers in the United States. Check to see where their bank accounts are... almost to the man... off shore and not in US currency. Obama is not a magician or a miracle worker and contrary to popular opinion he cannot part the sea or walk on water. He is a man in a position who is in a position of perceived power. A spokesman for lack of a better word. Not of the people as he purports but of the people who hold his leash. President's who try to change things end up dead.
I definitely agree with this, I don't think he the Anti-Christ just seeting up the stage for him.... The Anti-Christ will receive a wound in the head, that should kill him, but will not. That is one notation to have in our minds...
pretzelman: But again I say...it is not just a Democratic bail-out! Republicans have had their hand in it as well!
Pretzeleman....check the party in power.....it is the DEMs across the board. When President Obama took the oath....it became their watch. Offically thiers. They promised change and hope to the American people. Promised a accountable gov't to them. They were there when this mess began as well, Ship. These bailouts....now....all fall on their watch.
The last two year in control of congress....the body passing all those budgets that helped to place GWBs administration into the deficit. The GWB budget requests had earmark after earmark on them....had more pork than the biggest sow at the county fair.
I saw the white washed Franks hearings on the bank failures on C-Span. I listened to the questions being asked and looked at the experts, Franks had in testimony.
Honest, Ship....a white wash....pure and simple. They were no closer to the truth on what happened in the bank failures from when the came in to when they hearing ended and they walked out.

He's about as emotionless as an automaton. Makes me wonder about science and the possibilities of having a dupe/clone/robot. He sure acts like one. Even speaks in a manner without any inflection, rise or fall to his words. Could probably take a killing blow to the head and walk away from it. The man scares the hell out of me. Just happy to be Canadian right now... miles of frigid forest between me and that sort of thing. If he is just a man with the best interests of the people he will end up failing if he pulls to hard at his leash and become a martyr. Or he will just toe the line and do what he is told. Personally voting for the last one for him and the world of course. Conspiracy theories make my head sore and i don't like them.
