"Metro Men" is a term which came out of the movies about 10 years ago to describe men who are capable of being both masculine and feminine with their partners. This is a spin off from the women's liberation movement and I am deeply curious as to who really likes men who act like women and men, at the same time?
I have no problem with a guy taking real good care of himself....but I would have a problem if he was showing much more femenine tendencies than me....
No....after some serious thought... I have decided this is not the type of guy for me.....there is something fettish about the whole thing and a little creepy....
stefonline: Maaybe we could share the same suspenders..... Could even use the same razor and cut down on expense.... after all we are in a recession.....
rodolpho: Aha so anytime girls wear fruitflavours its an invitation to lick it off?Is that about the idea?
Well YES OF COURSE!!!
Ambrose: I'm sure she can give you your very own Venus razor! Doens't make you effeminate...makes you clean shaven in the parts you want shaved. I just don't share razors.
I too love a man who takes care of himself grooming wise. That doesn't make him effeminate either. If he happens to decorate, cook and have better fashion sense than me, I figure that's a plus as I'm not "all that" in those departments. And, if he wants me to mow the lawn whilst he cooks dinner...I'm a can do girl for that too. I'm all about sharing. BUT NOT WITH MY RAZOR!

Mmmmm.....
I am all for a man being in touch with his "feminine side" to a degree, i.e. taking care of himself, particular about personal hygiene and presentability, AND.... not afraid to show his softer side, his feelings.... but not "girlie" with it.
That said, I do like a man to be a "MAN"!! Not into the rough-and-ready sort who feels he needs to demonstrate his machismo at every opportunity..... just an everyday fella for me.

Just a healthy balance, me thinks.

I'm getting confused now. Do I have to be a firefighter now with a feminine side.A man's man with facecream?A construction worker with babyhands? No wonder men dont get you, you're askin for the impossible.

A man's man in a fire fighter uniform...who listens...has feelings and shows them...and is kind to his woman...What's sooo confusing about that...face cream is optional.....

not sure what it mans to act both like a woman and a man at the same time becaause as fa as im concerned everyone acts differently , not all womn are the same nor all men . but im myself like a person who is a bit of both not too feminine acting or too masculine

My Dutch Grand Mother said this to me once...in one of her 'Tongue and Cheek' Lippy comments...... '....And don't you dare forget to have a 'Tampon' in your pocket...so you can touch base with your 'Feminine' Side'....I never forgot that one....
