no, i think that a person should be true to themselves. You are who you are, and nobody should have to change to be with someone else. I don't beleive a relationship would last if a person be it the man or woman changes who they are. just my opinion

Certainly not - if you know who you are another person cannot change you to who you not - I can compromise on a lot of things but I accept myself for who I am so can't compromise on that - hope you got some useful answers on your poll

I do believe flexibility is called for sometimes, yes. Compromise? Yes. Accomodating the other person? Yes. But the very core of your being? Possibly not......
Fortunately, I have now met someone that simply doesn't want me to change.... flaws and faults included!!
Bizarre, isn't it? But then.... I couldn't be luckier! He's a darling.....
you should accpet them as they are and for who they are.you should not try to change someone into something you think they should be,but accpet them as they are and for who they are
To the person who posted the thread: If some guy is always trying to control what you wear and how your hair is and what you eat and where you go and who you hang around with and what you do and what you say, that's classic abusive behavior. Google it. You can't put up with that.

what? women do that all the time. practically every woman who ever slumped across the planet does all those things the minute she gets her claws inta some poor sod. i've loads of girlfriends who did that on an almost daily basis, they moaned about my hair, moaned about my clothes, moaned about my drinking buddies, moaned about my take aways, moaned about my childishness and everything else.

I think there's somewhat of a double standard there because of the motivations. When men control women it may be out of a psychological need to keep her down so she doesn't leave, or to turn her into a status symbol with perfect hair and clothes. but when women gripe about the stuff men do it's because they want to make the man stop doing very objectionable things.

ahh, i see. when men tell women to stop shovelling cake down their throats or have a bath it's because they're evil and wrong but when women do it, it's because they know better
