ladyfingers: I haven't met very many men who can sit down and talk reasonably.
I always have, If it gets to the yelling stage, it is just time to stop for a bit and cool down.. then finish the discussion.
When I was married, she often lost control and yelled.
I would try to go to another room to give it time to cool down, but she would follow anywhere I went so she could continue screaming at me.
Then when things were cool.. I sat her down many times and told her to get some help..that the yelling had to stop.
Instead it just got worse and worse..
finally one day as she was screaming.. I went out to mow the yard...she actually followed ever step as I mowed, screaming over the mower.
That night, I told her that was it.
I filed for divorce the next day.
