Yes, I do believe in answered prayers! God has answered many of our prayers and has intereceded for us.
The bible tells us that it is impossible to please God without faith.
The bible also tells us... seek and you shall find, ask and you shall receive, knock and the door will be open for you.

How do you know its God and not just coincidence? I mean Atheists have good things happen to them all the time and experience Good outcomes to things they thought were doomed to failure or disaster.

He made us human, he knows we are human. He knows we get hemmed up, and mixed up in all the ugly things in life. Let me see if I can explain it better. I have five kids, I know that one is honest, one is a liar, one rebels... so on. BUT! I have to give them all the same love no matter what. So even though some of us disbelieve, he loves us all. But he gives us a chance to find him. He does not ever throw in the towel.How does he show he is blessing us when we disbelieve?

and walked away wondering where that word came from...

but that would also take great faith....

Try looking at this from a parent's point of view (God is parent to ALL His creation). Do you still keep good things FROM a disobedient child, or do you still GIVE that child good things because you love him/her, regardless of their behavior towards you.

Prayer's are asked on faith and they are answered and recieved the same way. Do you as a good parent, ALWAY'S answer your child's request's in a favorable manner, or do you sometimes say NO, MAYBE, or WAIT? God is the same way, only He has infinately more wisdom and knowledge to draw upon as a parent.

If my child was hanging from a bridge clinging on for dear life...even if they had been naughty that day I'd run to their rescue because if I made them wait it could be too late....Right?

we have choices and .... often not easy trials to face...
prayer...
to teach us... to help us grow...
not only that we will find comfort for self...
but that we would grow to comfort others...
paradise was lost...
we live in a battlefield....
focus is the answer....

I think God works in mysterious ways.
Does he answer prayers?
I don't think God will do anything for me that I CAN do for myself.
I think I'M expected to get busy on the possible,and leave the impossible to him.
