There the same animal. but i prefer to call the small ones with short hair alsations, but the mega big ones with the fluffy coat a German Shepperd.
they sound like you get more fluff for the animal, and everyone should realise by now i do like a monies worth fluffy animal.

They are the same actually. They were always called German Shepherds before the war and then of course during the war no one wanted the name 'German' associated with anything so they started to call them Alsations. It was a while after the war that they started calling the German Shepherds again but some got used to calling them Alsations so the name stuck and they are called by both name now
