The war against terrorism has been at the forefront of U.S foreign policy. Many people believe the United States should be more aggressive in combating terror. Others characterize the goal of eliminating terror as impossibility.

Will terrorism ever go away? I doubt it. Will people always fight beck? I'd be very surprised if SOMEONE didn't fight back.
Will the CURRENT war on terror ever be considered "complete", that's something I doubt. My guess is it will gradually peter out until few people want to continue the funding for it because either there won't be enough terrorists in a single location to target effectively, or the terrorists will get a lot smarter and then it'll make sustained operations by the conventional military ineffective.
It would then become the purview of specialist groups dedicated to terrorism specific operations. I think this is already happening, with GENERAL public opinion turning to apathy until the next major terrorist attack will once again raise panic among the global-populace and start the cycle over again.
One last though, the Romans considered the first people to use boiling-oil on their legions to be a form of terrorist. What we call a terrorist i really just a level of violence beyond what we consider "reasonable". Would we be concerned if this was a nation at war with another? No. We'd sit back and watch, but when the violence is directed at us, at people we consider "off-limits", like children, then we rise in fury at these "terrorists". It's either the target themselves that bother us, or the methods. Boiling-oil, planes, these scare us as a form of death. Combine the two, civilians and planes, or boiling-oil and "honourable" troops and you've effectively asked someone to hate you for what you've done.
End of essay, sorry forum users. I got a little carried away there.

its another question. we r just talking about being individuals. i think its the need of time that UNO should take its wise part and a special meeting of all member nations should be called for tackling this burning issue.
as someone who believe there is really know such thing as the war on terror. in my eyes its like the USA war on drug. it was made to take more rights away from American citizens. it will never end because it is not a war. its a government take over.

Isn't it an oxymoron that a terrorist government wage a war against 'terrorism' ? Seems that all it is doing is promoting more 'terrorism' against the terrorists if the terrorist government. If that government were to be more aggressive, they would have to eventually turn on their own peoples...will that eventuate? You bet.(and the world will sing Oh Happy days are here again....'
You see, the US Government likes to point the finger somewhere else instead to make the other people look worse than they are. haha To cover up 9/11, they had to find a barney to blame it on. So since the towers had to come down anyway and it was a chance to steal billions of dollars out of the New York Bank in the twin towers and at the same time get rid of the towers and in the same instance create a fake war with some unknown terrorist group which was first a computer named the Taliban, anyway, it worked. Now everyone thinks there is terrorists all over the Middle East.
So now the war is endless against a bunch of innocent people labeled terrorists because they want to defend their families and land. So they kill a son and that son had 2 brothers, so those brothers pick up arms to fight against America to defend their family and get revenge for their brother, then their cousins pick up the guns fight, then their children pick up guns and fight, then their aunts and uncles fight against the US and the list keeps going till you have the entire middle east fighting the USA. Next world war or what?? Its insane. Now if we turn this around and if Russia or some other Nation invaded your country and said it was full of terrorists and you lost a brother or sister or son or daughter, you would fight against that force in your country as well. So, when and where does it end? It don't until the US forces and all other UN forces pull out and leave them alone.
So redirecting your attention away from the truth has created a fake war and now everyone is a terrorist. Heck, the list even in our own country for anyone who has a Ron Paul bumber sticker, anyone who has any kind of bible in their car, anyone who doesn't put their children in public schools, anyone who owns a gun, anyone who is against Obama and those in the white house, anyone that pay taxes and anyone that protests is a terrorist in the USA and in England for that matter. Heck the list keeps growing, when will that stop? haha. There are close to a million people on the no fly list now in America. These people are just every day normal people and all are labeled terrorists now. What a wonderful Nation this is. Goodness sake.
War on Terrorism is an endless war. Is it so???? It is meant to APPEAR to be endless.
The real issue at hand is 'national sovereignty' vs 'global government'.
"Terrorism" is an artificial problem created to impose the need for global government.
Al Qaida and the Taliban are both US creations.
Over a hundred years ago, the globalists already planned to use terrorism in order to get the nations to accept world government.
When we have accmplished our takeover, we'll say to the various peoples, "Everything is a mess, everybody is tired of endless war and destruction.
Let us destroy the cause of all your problems, - nationalities, borders, different currerncies...
The moment for this... will come when the nations, utterly wearied by the foolishness and incompetence of their governments (that we will arrange), will cry: "Throw the bums out, and give us one king over all the earth who will unite us and annihilate the causes of our problems - borders, nationalities, religions, State debts.
In order to bring about this desire (for global government) by the people of all nations, we have to create trouble in all nations that will alienate the people from their governments and exhaust them with dissention, hatred, struggle, envy, and even by the use of torture, starvation, the innoculation of diseases and by want, so that the nations see no other way out than to take refuge in our total sovereignty concerning money and all else.

Good Lord !!! Put the Kool-Aid away. You've had waaaaaayy too much. I suppose that Pearl Harbor was a government conspiracy also. With attitudes like yours, terrorism will survive for centuries.
Personally, I think the U.S. should pull out of every other country and clean up OUR side of the street. We could be spending all that foreign aide taking care of our own.
SOmeone invades us, destroy their asses.. Simple..
With terrorism being any power seeking to govern, or any power now governing, having obtained that power through efforts of intimidation, coercion, or fear, you are never going to get rid of terrorism until people learn who the terrorist are, and the various weapons at their disposal. Radical terrorist all seek, and gain power through the same efforts, with some using weapons of destruction, and others misusing the laws of the land, and writting their own rules, and regulations to control the masses. Neither avenues, throughout history have ever lasted, and are always the scene of war, having themselves perpetuated the divisions among the people they wish to control.
