Same here, usually not, especially if the message is in broken English. Oh, and when the first thing they want is your yahoo addy, what's up with that?
Now if it was someone I'd seen and interacted with quite a bit on the forums, that's different. But even then only as buds, I would always have a bit of mistrust about becoming involved with someone who can't even post a pic. There are enough real people who aren't afraid to show their face to have to deal with faceless strangers/scammers.
If I had spoken to them on the forums then yes, but a random contact...? NO
