are you the sort of person that likes(or would like)your house to be a few miles away from busy areas, etc? ,or maybe you like lots of houses, friends, neighbours very near to you?
I live where I'm almost in total isolation, cept for them few crazies running around the exterior of my home.

I lived in isolation once. I was a diver in the middle of the Pacific for 5 years. Totally different lifestyle and a different outlook on nature and life. I loved the isolation but it screwed me up socially. Now I'm trying get back in the groove living among people.

I lived on 100 acres in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by 1,000 acres of forest. No visible neighbors. 360-degree sunrises and sunsets, all kinds of wildlife (bear, coyote, mountain lion, bobcat, turkey, pheasant, deer, grouse) in my yard and pastures. It was heaven.
I'd love to have a remote cabin somewhere (maybe Kodiak Island in Alaska), go for supplies once a year, enjoy the solitude.

I do live in a secluded area... it's called my brain, and I love it, because when I don't want seclusion... I just open the door !

I was raised out in the dessert of West Texas, I hated the seclusion as a youngster, no girls to chase. I think I wouldn't mind so much now, but in a different environment. I have to say, living out in the Caribbean is seclusion from the rest of the world for sure.

I love to live as far from human population as possible.
But still ... not far from the exit to the Hway ... especially in a winter time. It is Canada, you know. And I do not own a snow plow track not even a tractor.
I live where a golf course is my neighbor in the back yard. I have a forrest on three sides of my home. The nearest neighbor is 100 yards away and you can't see their place.

I dream about it a lot. Like Rural Wisconsin in a hidden little old farm house about ten minutes from Kenosha and a short walk from the Ren Faire. Or Wales on a farm full of Shire Horses or in a small UK village out in the middle of miles of farm fields as the resident wacky old hippie stained glass maker.

Witchay - Your suggestions all sound great! Especially the farm full of Shires. How about a farm full of Gypsy horses?
YES! I live in what the utility company calls "a remote pocket of coverage" but actually am only 12 miles from three small rural towns. I enjoy the quiet and watching the wild animals and birds. Too often we forget to appreciate the simple things in nature and all of the beauty it has in all seasons.
I like being just in the middle. Enough that I can hear the crickets at night and have privacy, but with neightbors close enough that I could run to their house in an emergency :D
