I learned to let go of the past ..... for when I don't the only person I'm hurting is myself. For too long, I used to carry hurt around with me, after awhile its a heavy burden to carry and becomes shackles around you that smother you.
YesWho: I can forgive but I have not mastered how to forget.
We never forget, we just don't allow our selves to dwelle on it live in it everyday. If we do, Then it becomes a problem, then we live for the past instead of the future.

Years ago I met someone in a store that I had gone to school with. When he asked me if I remembered him, I said no and walked out to my car. I knew who he was before he spoke and remembered him as being a bully to those smaller than him. I was one of those he enjoyed beating on.
I very rarely speak to my first wife. I look forward to the day when my youngest son moves out of her house because then I won't have to see or talk to her.
I will never forgive someone who acts in bad faith, I try to avoid to forget to be prepered for the next hit. But I may forgive someone who is to stupid to understand things he/she does or is forced to do so.

My first reaction to the question was 'no, I'll never forgive' But I like your answer better. However even then it would not be a quick process for me; it'll take years most likely. I'm stubborn. And stupid
