yes, thats was my ex bf want, ask me stop bussiness and my study, then focus to take care family and his parent confused . I cant completely do that, wait for sunrise and sunset daily.

heavensmile: thanks sist, i post this question coz i have 2 friend, one is working and his husband used to complain for not enough time for her family, and other friend used to complain coz her wife not independent, used to ask everything to him, even to take her kids to doctor, must wait for him back from office. So...as i still single, never married. I want to know what man prefer. My ex bf tell me, that i must stop work or leave my bussiness if i marry him. But sometime women need self esteem or actualization of herself.


Hon, dont stop working...cos someone tells you to... its a power ego thing...

Be independant and do what you can to be happy. Working is often a good way to interact with people and learn many new things. This will help with self esteem and confidence and personal ride through life...

I know this question is directed towards the men but my late husband made enough money that I was able to be a stay at home mom which was my choice anyway and I loved every minute of it too.If I could go back and do it all again I would in a heartbeat.

I have to agree with Merriweather. The times that a woman can stay at home and only the man is at work, are over. Especially in this time, where many are unemployed, because of the situation in Europe. The money, you will get for your work, is less than before. The prices for to live, become higher. However, I would prefer, to have a Housewife, if children are there. Otherwise a working woman.

either 2,3 or 5. A wife should still be able to pursue the dreams & visions that she always wanted, if thats working in a corner shop, teacher, lawyer or politician, etc then she should be allowed to pursue these dreams as it only makes married & family life more interesting & vibrant

Chughtayejee, I strongly recommend that you find a girl who has your own cultural values...

This would not sit right for me... there is no way in this world that I would be stuck home and minding some one elses parents.. and doing menial chores.. like cooking and cleaning.. I like to work, have my own freedom, have my own money that I earn and do what I like when I like and be answerable to only myself...

Sorry hun, the cultural difference is huge and I acknowledge that, by you hopefully can also acknowledge mine.

Posted in good faith with cultural differences in mind.. I welcome cultural difference = I accept that others have and live differently but I personally dont want to join another culture.

I have worked all my adult life and been "the man" of the house. I'm getting a little tired of being a career woman so I am hoping to retire early and become a housewive.
