jbibiza: Our socirty has changed so much and in th past 40 years... so many personal freedoms have been lost...I think kids have it the worst.
I look back to my childhood and wish kids could have it so good. My brothers and I used to pack a sack lunch and head into the foothills with out friends for the day...at nine years old.
We built tree forts and had mock battles, we were king arthur and guineverre, batman and robin...we just had to be home by dark.
Yes, my brother broke his arm falling out of a tree and we had our share of bumps and bruises...but what a small price to pay for such glorious freedom!
It used to be that being a liberal meant protecting freedom...when did that change to a bunch of "do gooders" telling us how to live and protecting us from ourselves???
I'll happily take my bumps and bruises in order to live freely.

spot on ibizza! we climbed trees n mountains broke legs and had scratches! but i must disagree about kids having it worst! teachers lost control through slack politics! there is now no respect,so the quicker we bring back hanging and get rid of the scum the better!
