JimNastics: A guitarist not mentioned, but deservedly on the top 25 list before many mentioned is; Kenny Neal, (who is also an exceptional blues harpist).
felixis99: yup KWS and johnny lange are both waaaaay under rated - excellent stuff
I like my blues texas style too with the bros of ZZTop
but whose the best? geez ur kidding, right?
Agreed, KWS and Laing are under rated for sure. Colin James is a fine player too, unfortunately he went a little too commercial but very talented. SRV introduced him on Austin City Limits as the next man to watch out for, not sure if he lived up to that acclaim, but he's done some nice stuff in the past.

felixis99: red house is one of my favorite songs along with dust my broom & stateboro blues & voodoo chile (of course)- dave bromberg does a nice statesboro blues too
mayall has been a favorite of mine since high school which, trust me gentlemen, was quite some time ago
saw mayall live several times and met him in detroit 20 yrs ago. have you heard frank marino's version of red house? wow
saw an interview with zakk wilde where he talks about what a huge influence Frank Marino had on him. alot of people have covered Albert Kings' born under a bad sign' one of my favorite versions is Pat Travers' another under rated guitarist in the blue-rock genre.
rebelluvr: & one you don't know could play the blues , Randy Rhoads !
ozzy's best bud & mine , RIP Randy
What a guitarist, he could play any style and play it amazingly well!! Master guitarist. Great choice mate. What a shame he went so young like many others.
