Oh no. Thank you. Researching blues guitar is a hobby that I neglested for far too long these last few months. U have put so much food for thought out on this thread that I cannot help but be ever so grateful
funny but as the blues migrated thru the south (usa) rockabilly and later psychobilly really became a favorite too - Dwight Yokam is once of my favorite guitarists along with EVH even tho they play a little differently (just a little? )I like the Rev too (Horton Heat)

early 60's lonnie mack with his flying vee and whammy bar invented bluesrock guitar playing, influencing srv and jimmie vaughan, keef richards, dickey & duane, E clapton, ect, ect there is great footage of lonnie and stevie jamming together before lonnie stepped away from the spotlight, saw lonnie a few times 84-86, stevie produced lonnies strike like lightning, stevie also played on a couple tracks great blues/roots album to check out.

Right on Gf!
I put my DVD Woodstock on in the weekend, and just am memorised by his playing once again! My friends who have their own bands here in NZ, he is worshiped as such, some have roots of blues weaved into their music, and even if they have a different sway on their music, all credit JIMI for the taste many years ago to start the recipe for their guitar playing art..
I will downloaded a photo of my friends bands check out the guitars.. Ill flick it onto my profile as not sure how to do it here.

How ever "Jimi" just does it for me! (was it, lived it, shared it)
In every movement of his fingers was a song within itself..
