Disgruntled employees and postal workers everywhere should take a lesson from him on how it's done. You can get the message across just fine without shooting people.

I guess it's a stressful job at times and on this occasion it just got to him.
Had it been me handling the matter in HR I could probably find a way of keeping the guy in work had it just been the rude comments, but once he took the beers and deployed the emergency equipment he has to find help elsewhere.
But, how come no one noticed he was heading towards this kind of a meltdown?
This is someone who seems to be stressed to the nines and finally snapped, this incident was the lynch pin. He may end up being hospitalized before this is all over.
He never hurt anyone and though it was a show, there was no damage done and will be forgotten about in a weeks time.

hearing the other side of the story from other passengers he's turning out to be a jerk. He touched a sympathetic nerve in many people, but his early mid-life crisis could have been handled better...starting weeks before the incident.

Technicalities!
He's analcoholic gay who lost it. A loser but look man, he dissed his customers on the PA, grabbed a couple beers and escaped in a classic slide down.
And you when you tell your boss to 'take this job and shove it' .....
"Wundrin, kin ah quit 2day?"
Right or wrong, this guy just did it like we all wish we could. And for that, the gay alcoholic messed up loser is a hero. Admired by me cause when check out, I want to be stylish, not mundane and he was anything but mundane.
