Witchaywoman: My brother was an exchange student in Capetown years ago. He came home completely twitterpated with South African girls. He thinks they're goddesses. I met a few of them and they seemed slightly stuck up and devoid of personality. AND, they insisted on wearing things like baggy blue jeans and dark blue sweaters, or baggy denim dresses. Culture clash? Then, they were saying they thought Brits were stuck up. What ever. I never met anybody real who acted as stuck up as those girls.
its indeed a sad day when s.a. women are attacked and deemed devoid of personalities particuarly from someone who has never set foot in the country or have any idea about their cultures. Hope you got satisfaction from your post.

That was just the two South African women that I met and they were both from the same family. They were really really stuffy. The men sounded ok. I never met the men.

Its ok - in all cultures there will be good and bad - i love south africa and made it my home for 20 years - prior to that i was in Zimbabwe / Rhodesia now in Ireland - moved around a lot and left a piece of my heart in each country.
It gets better too. The one SA girl I met allegedly moved to Utah to become a Mormon. Mormons? Wtf??? All we could figure is that a lot of Mormons are supposed to make lots of money. She wants the same lifestyle here that she had back home.
Prettyuptowngirl: oh dear I'm an S.A woman living in Hungary...there is nothing wrong with us, as far as I'm concerned. Wo said there was? The majority of SA women I know have 2 full times jobs, one during the day, the other at night, while there husband drink beer and flick the tv channels
That sounds ture also. My brother had another SA friend who always wanted money, but she kept getting one horrible boyfriend after another. She worked like a dog and her exes were all useless con artists. She didn't like my brother that way and I think he was giving her money. I guess she would have dated him if he was some kind of a creep like her exes.

I really dont think they are stuck and thats why their dressing is they way it is ,its called beeing themselves and not over dressed with a kilos of makeup and fake. That is what i love about them .You get what you see and not false hair false nails ect like you get in this country i live in now where most of the girls look like beauty queens all tarted up ...look like dolls but act like men and talk as such.........as for being stuck up ....mmm come to greece and then tell me about stuck up.........this goes for south african men ...they are just as nice and down to earth......i just love all south africans they are wonderful hardworking people

that has nothing to do with being south african.....i know lots of women that look for men with money all over and women that go for creeps.......by they way lots of men also look for money and go for women that are no good .....
