We're all nuts ... that's why we are on this site!! grin rolling on the floor laughing

Australia isn't an island ... it's a continent.

But it is sometimes referred to as an island because it is completely surrounded by water. It also is cutely referred to as the Lucky Country, or The Land of Milk and Honey, of the Great Southern Land.

Many millions of years ago, Australia was part of Gondwanaland and due to shifting subterranial plates Australia broke clear, along with Antartica, South America and India etc. It's a long story.

By the way, the largest island in the world is Greenland.

Happy to be of service ... 4r

As the worlds largest island and smallest continent I think it might be Australia.
It depends on how you equate beaches - if it's by miles/kms of coastline it might be something not listed above. Like Brazil maybe?

Now my brain hurts. laugh
