In some countries it is an advantage to be a redhead.....Parts of the USA being one of them but Ireland and Scotland it is usually a no no .......Too many Celts have red hair according to some folk and it is associated with a short temper.....just some useless "facts" as local theory has it

also its hard to drug a redhead,researchers from Louisville University showed that redheads are more sensitive to pain, and need more anaesthetic during surgery than people with blonde or dark hair. red hair has been traced back to neanderthals.

Celtic Tries in southern England at the time of The Roman invasion based on the Iceni (BOUDICCA'S ) lot had an average of 40% redheads.
Northern Scotland were actually a different people the Picts and the had a higher ratio of redheads and the Romans feared the Picts the most. They never managed to beat the Picts having to build 2 huge walls to keep them at bay.
Wall 1 The Atonine from What is now NW Glasgow to the Forth.
Wall 2 Hadrians wall from the Solway to Wallsend (near Newcastle)
And in fact the 9th legion was lost attacking the Picts and not one got back to either wall...
