I've watched Beck some. I've never heard him say that you can't change the channel. I may have missed an episode though.

I agree and, from what I understand, Beck does too as he is famous for saying to not take his word for it but to do your own research.

StillOfTheNight: I gave my opinion on a topic that was posted for discussion. It may not be the popular opinion but I am just as entitled to post my opinion on this as anyone else, even if it is unpopular.
When you said you "don't like anyone who dictates to us what we should believe and what is right and wrong" it was a valid 'opinion' but in no way reflects the reality which we understand to be Beck.
When Freddy said "I've never heard him say that you can't change the channel" and I said that Beck "is famous for saying to not take his word for it but to do your own research" both of us were expressing our knowledge of the subject which is that in no way does he dictate anything to anybody.

Glenn Beck is an absolute joke. Nowhere other than America would this guy get a media job. At least he admits he is no journalist. Does anyone know whether he is just a person of below average intelligence or has he a genuine intellectual disability. I'm not joking here it's a serious question, because his behaviour would indicate he may have some sort of special needs.

In order for him to get under my skin, I would have to either value his opinion, respect him as a human being or take him seriously. None of these apply. I just like laughing at him on youtube as I do any comedy video. Which is essentially what this guy's 'analysis' is. Comedy.

So how come you are wasting a comment?patmac: I know the question is for Trish but, I reckon the banking collapse and the fact Governments tried to hush it until they realised the extent of the problem and the slow realisation of the American public of just how much the balance of payments is (also in most developed countries) has had a serious effect and folk are looking at the future in a different light. As always JMO..

His light infantary weapons were all Soviet. His artillery came from S. Africa. His SCUDs came from North Korea and Russia. 1/2 of his fighter were from France....the Mirages. The other half were
Soviet M-21s.
So what did the US give him? During the Iran and Iraq war the US provided him with satellite imagery. That told him were the build up of Iranian troops were. Were to focus his defense. There might have been some hard point bombs for Mirages. But the rest of our munitions are the wrong calibers for Soviet weapons to fire.
