Conrad73: actually most of Saddams Arms came from the Eastern Block!
And China, Russia, Asia, other Arab countries, Europe and on and on. The US supplied less than one percent of Saddam's arms which goes to show how shallow the knowledge base is of anybody who states that the US armed Iraq.

Exactly! France and others shipped Arms to Saddam until the Beginning of the 2nd Gulfwar,in contravention of UN Resolutions!

The worst photo Rumsfield ever took was shaking the hand of Sadam Hussien.....
It got more negative PR for the US than even GWB's carrier landing and mission accomplish pics....
scriobhneoir: Oh yeah now I know what you are talking about. I'm guessing Beck didn't do an expose of Rumsfeld and Bush senior arming Sadaam Hussein to the teeth? Or of how Bin Laden's family were given safe passage out of the country?
Oh and Olberman is brilliant. Unlike the likes of Beck and O' Reilly, he actually knows what he is talking about too.
That says a lot about you.
So you're one of his 5 viewers? I've heard his 86 year old mother watches his show.
scriobhneoir: In order for him to get under my skin, I would have to either value his opinion, respect him as a human being or take him seriously. None of these apply. I just like laughing at him on youtube as I do any comedy video. Which is essentially what this guy's 'analysis' is. Comedy.
I think I know why you've got a chip on your shoulder.
I'm betting he called you when he did his "moron triva" radio segment.
Blues63: There's a fortune in being a 'shock-jock'. They fuel divisive issues and people gravitate toward such. Our highest paid DJ's are all shock-jocks.
I agree with you.Years ago, he was quite interesting working for HLN. He was nothing but a recovering acholholic who was still fighting it. He, at that time was a more humbling person along with his views . Popularity got the best of him , so with his own show, it is his mere presenace and shouting and always his rightiousnes that is a pure turn off. He might have some great points but takes it all too far. It is his show, though. He lost everything he had once, being an achohalic. Might be able to do that again with his sheer obnoxoiusness and ego. A total turn off for me as he is just showing off and being so cavalier, he might just do the same to others. I use to watch him every night on HLN, but not now with his on screen bellowing everything that is wrong with everything. And hE knows, How? maybe selftaught in rehab.Sorry john , I know you approve of him. What is that famous saying about : not that message , but the messenger?
I don't think Glen Beck is important enough to warrent a disgussion about him........he's the laughing stock of everyone other than extreme FOX news followers ..........

jvaski: Oh Ttom, I soemtimes enjoy the humor in a raving lunatic with a chalk board and camera .....
I always the pinned pics that he places on the chalk board. It gives face to the name....then when draw the lines between the people....and shows the political organization ....and then the evidence of their activities. That laways kinds of graps my attention.
The Beck expose' on ACORN...would normally get a Pulizer. It was done well. I mean within a week ACORN was doing damage control..... He literally took that vast organization down by himself..... Quiet a accomplishment when you think of it.
