jvaski: Everyone loves to talk about California.....especially those who live in a state that's so boring it never has any news ...
CA is a good state...I enjoyed my 6 years there. It has its headaches, like anyplace.
But compared to MI and FL State governmenor.....CA is a monster of a State government. You know that. How many approvals do you need to get for a new home constructed?
Each one is a mini government beaurcracy, that add cost and time to the proejct.

What home construction ?? It's totally over and done with !!
Jeffrey Graf Reference Department Herman B Wells Library Indiana University - Bloomington Like barnacles, a thick crust of speculation has gathered over the word "Hoosier" to explain the origin of Indiana's nickname. Popular theories, diligently and often sincerely advanced, form a rich, often amusing body of folklore. Those theories include: "Who's here?" as a question to unknown visitors or to the inhabitants of a country cabin; Hussar, from the fiery European mounted troops; "Huzzah!" proclaimed after victory in a fight; Husher, a brawny man, capable of stilling opponents; Hoosa, an Indian word for corn; Hoose, an English term for a disease of cattle which gives the animals a wild sort of look; and the evergreen "Who's ear?" asked while toeing a torn-off ear lying on the bar room floor the morning after a brawl.
The best evidence, however, suggests that "Hoosier" was a term of contempt and opprobrium common in the upland South and used to denote a rustic, a bumpkin, a countryman, a roughneck, a hick or an awkward, uncouth or unskilled fellow. Although the word's derogatory meaning has faded, it can still be heard in its original sense, albeit less frequently than its cousins "Cracker" and "Redneck." Ohhhhhhhh......can you see the smile on my face FUD ?
jvaski: It sure seemed that all of you loved us ( CA ) when the economy was strong and our industry profit taxes were paying for all your other meaningless state's fed projects ..........
But again, I think it's jealousy that drives comments like the one above .........
Your Governor's job was over yesterday ,so maybe the great state of California will regain their once great status. My Uncle lives there and had no use for him. He ruined your state and how did he get in anyway, The Kennedy's?
You my friend , Mr, Austin have more intelligence than Glann Beck. You at least state where you recieve your information and back it up. If anyone knows more and states it about Sarah Palin is you and where does Glenn Beck rate himself as being among more educated people than himself to even consider rating himself with Sarah Palin. I know a few acholalics who have stopped drinking and was in Rehab. It is a well known fact that even if you are not drinking any longer the same personality will arise ocasionally. Most all cured acholics have their own self rightious opinion of themselves if they have suceeded in conquering it. This does not mean every achohlic but only those with an ego as large as Glen Beck's. One man I know recovered and went to clollege and had that high opinion of himself, just as Glenn Beck, he had lost his marriage , kids, job, house, etc. He was so into his accomplishment, it did not take long for him to have liver cancer and had a heart attack from all those years of drinking. Now he lives in a wheel chair. Glenn Beck fears nothing or any possibilities of falling again. His opinion of himself may be shortlived.

When Beck did the take down on ACORN...I saw the pics of ACORN national headquarter....with the 290 drop boxes. When Beck did the Van Jones outing....I saw the history and resume' of Jones, that was not refuted. When Back did the expose' on the Chicago Carbon Board.....I saw the way the trading board worked and who had patented it. Seems to me that Beck backs up his stories.....jmo
I was on another International website at election time in 2008.
I called Glenn on his radio show and his producer put me on the air immediately.
ACORN...there was a young African-American named youngcharlie from Chicago. He kept deleting me off of the website for my opinions. (You can get back right on by changing your email address)
He was a member of ACORN.
I deleted him and he came right back on with a location from Los Vegas (The home of Acorn)
I also explained the acorn influence in Ohio. A homeless man was bussed into Ohio, and was able to vote 63 times for Obama.
Glenn Beck kicks ACORN spokesman off his set ov...
Your uncle's property sale problem has very little to do with new owner property taxes. He enjoys Proposition 13 tax relief because he owned his place for many years. It's a great tax relief for elderly folks who can't afford continually raising property taxes like other states. Even Nevada which was once one of the lowest property tax states for years - has mimicked Calif and raised their property taxes substantially to pay for better public services and infrastructure improvements. Your uncle's property sale problem is like everyone elses right now ......people are jobless and new loans are almost impossible, properties don't appraise etc etc
Ccincy: Don't forget all the illegals who work there as well.
"California's economy is the largest of any state in the US, and is the eighth largest economy in the world. As of 2008, the gross state product (GSP) is about $1.85 trillion, which is 13% of the United States gross domestic product (GDP). The state's GDP growth rate slowed to 0.4% in 2008 after having grown 3.1% in 2006 and 1.8% in 2007. As of 2010 California along with Texas leads all other states in the number of Fortune 500 headquarters at 57 companies each."
Yea, our illegals are of great concern to us here in a state which is the EIGTH LARGEST ECONOMY in THE WORLD !

They do all the work that no one else will do. They also get to get free housing and welfare and medical care.

But you still employ them, Jvanski...as illegals. And setting your cities up as sanctionary cities.....draws illegals to the state. And your loose drug laws....promote cartel activities in the state. I drove the San Jaquin Valley to many times thru agri area of CA. I saw the small hispanic towns off the main roads, Jaun. So I know how the CA economy works.
Nancy Pelosi, John Kerry and her liberal friends in San Fran are so obviously two faced on the illegal alien issue.
John Kerry's wife is a multi millionaire from a Hunt ketsup holding inheritance. It takes tomatos to make ketsup. Tomatos come from were? Are picked by who? Hunt ketsup is founded and located in Santa Rosa, CA.
Nancy Pelosi wealth come from her book royalities and her husband.....he is a CA Real Estate developer. Making those housing developments using who?. He has a Napa Valley vineyard and grapes that are picked by who? A SF limo service that is driven by who?
That CA liberals would get all indignant to Meg Whitman illegal house keeper, when they own many of the business employing the state's illegal aliens is about about two faced as it gets.
Both Kerry and Pelosi married into wealth. But that wealth was acquired by illegal alien sweat. They maintained a distance from that sweat of illegals while seeking public service careers. But they both would freely use that family wealth to seek higher office.
One of the reason the country has a 600 miles hole in the SW border fence, is companies owned by the family members of liberal politicians need illegal aliens to function. In the past that did not matter much.
But today, with Islamic terrorism and cartel drug war on the border, it does.

This is going to be a very controversial and sensitive thread.
I will not accept, nor will I agree with any bickering, arguing and personal attacks. Glenn Beck is very admired by some and also disagreed by others.
Glenn is popular in America. People from other Countries may not have heard of him. I only want opinions and votes on the poll. I have a cache of Glenn’s videos to send you.
Glenn Beck has the #3 radio show and possibly the #1 television show in America. He is also the author of new books and personal appearances. He has no will to run for political office. His income is over $30 million dollars per year.
I will start with some music so you might think about this…and then some Glenn videos.

And how many billions is California in the hole do to unfunded pensions? Governor Moonbeam won't be able to fix the mess, since he's part of the problem.
