Kattsrose: You use way too many word to say nothing. While we're at it what is "unvivilised" supposed to be? It sounds like some sort of brain surgery that might leave a certain Obama zealot incontinent and mercifully quiet.
...... she said mercifully quiet....do'nt know what he's on about but mercifully quiet is a good suggestion
katt1017: Unfortunately they've been slapping on the paint for far too long. I think it is more the time to break out the bulldozers and rebuild.
Greed is the main problem with the system. Too many people trying to make too much money.
The secondary problem is that people have gotten too accepting of inflated costs. They ask, "How can I pay $1,200 per night for a hospital bed?", instead of, "WTF are you talking about $1,200 per night you thieves?".
If you say this to most people though they will just throw up their hands and say, "but that's what it costs." Instead the see some government program paying the bill as the solution. What they don't get is it is not free money.
You are right on all counts Katt, and "paint job" very poor choice on my part....but you know what I mean....it's time to "bite the bullet" here in US....We should have done it prior to bail out....Everybody "always" on board for the party......not so when it is time to pay piper!!!
katt1017: Usually it is the people who want someone else to take care of them 100%. The sort that feels everything they want is their RIGHT.
I've seen people that smoked, drank too much and ate nothing but processed garbage food. Then they whined because they were not getting free health care, again their right.
These people are easy to fool and control with false promises about what they will be given by politicians.
I'm open for anything that truly gives Health Insurance and providers true competition so their prices are realistic

jvaski: Very soon it won't matter anyway ....because none of us working class people will be able to afford any medical care. To leave the system the way it is because we don't want any form of regulation of it is completely neglectful. The 30% health insurance increases will soon be the demise of every retired or self employed person in America. Do the math
Yes you will remember if you don't have private insurance the irs will hit you with the bill at tax time. See your covered.
In 2016, when the penalty is fully phased in, it will be $695 for an individual (up to $2,085 per family) or 2.5 percent of household income, whichever is greater. The penalty will increase annually based on the cost of living.
I've seen where a certain person is constantly whining about medical care.I've never any medical care and still don't and have had to pay my one way.You don't hear me complaining or complaining.

My cat demanded a splash of milk.
There are some things you can just count on in life.
It amazes me how some of you can continually and stubbornly pull wool over your eyes simply because you're conservatives... Guess it takes some really expensive medical problems to shock you into reality as to how broken the system is ....
I'm not being mean, just trying to point out the attitude that perpetuates the problem. Another cop-out is " my insurance pays for everything - why should I care what it costs"
